Black History Month | Day 2 | Frantz Fanon

Frantz Fanon was an Afro- Caribbean born in Martinique.

He was revolutionary, philosopher, psychiatrist and writer.

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are
presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new
evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is
extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it
is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize,
ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief.”
Frantz Fanon, Black Skin, White Masks

Jump to the present day situation occurring in the United States of America.

I reference an amazing Black woman’s Facebook post.  Patrice Elizabeth,

“As INSANE and utterly asinine as our current
Administration is… we are more unified now as a people than
we have been in a LONG time. A moment of clarity as we honor
our ability to rise above adversity. Let’s keep elevating above the hate
and stay tuned into the frequency of freedom and equality for all
humankind 🙌🏾#vibrateHIGHER  Patrice Elizabeth.  aka @theafricanbutterfly

Like Patrice said we are more unified than ever.  That is the silver lining in all this tyrannical wreckage.

We must reach out to one another, share information, generate commerce
among one another, stop killing each other in the streets over colors and drugs and real estate.

As adults and children, we need to read read read. We have a golden history
as displayed in exhibits across the world of 18th Dynasty of King Tutankhamun.

” WE ARE AS OF INDIGO INK, SATURATED INTO THE PAPYRUS OF MOTHER EARTH. WE WERE HERE IN THE BEGINNING AND SO SHALL WE BE IN THE END.”   artikleblak17

About artikleblak

Artikleblak is a panoramic color-consciousness of digital media connecting the African Diaspora throughout the world. This world is a massive environment and our images and stories and concerns are spread to sparingly throughout the planet and digital terra. People of color comprise 4/5th of the world's population. Yet we have to Google search and channel surf and scour the event calendars to find ourselves, whether it be a person, place or thing. We should nevermore let oceans, languages, religions, cultures or man-made boundaries partition us. Our humanity is to powerful to remain fragmented, lets make it ONE again. Sincere thanks, Artikleblak
