Talking this morning about the “Oscars are to white” situation.

Let the division among us cease and use this as a catalyst to tackle this issue and more pressing issues; like the water in Flint, the Black on Black killings in Chicago, the police shootings etc of Black, Brown and poor folks, the paltry modern day “Manifest Destinies” (gentrification) which are killing off our vibrant communities, from West/East Oakland to Harlem USA.

As a collective, we topped $1.1 trillion in buying power in 2015! If we were a nation our GDP would rank us in the top 15 nations, out of 196! So we no longer really need to ask for permission to do anything.

Just find a common goal, put resources together and make that shit happen! Could be as small at 2 people investing in a $5000 house in Detroit or 30 people investing in an organic food farm, etc etc.

We must come together because if not, people a hundred years from now will look back and analyze our situation and say, “That was a no-brainer, WTFH?”

About artikleblak

Artikleblak is a panoramic color-consciousness of digital media connecting the African Diaspora throughout the world. This world is a massive environment and our images and stories and concerns are spread to sparingly throughout the planet and digital terra. People of color comprise 4/5th of the world's population. Yet we have to Google search and channel surf and scour the event calendars to find ourselves, whether it be a person, place or thing. We should nevermore let oceans, languages, religions, cultures or man-made boundaries partition us. Our humanity is to powerful to remain fragmented, lets make it ONE again. Sincere thanks, Artikleblak
